Frequently Asked Questions
how much do you charge?
It depends on the service I’m providing. Generally it works out at around $50-60 per hour, plus GST (less if it’s proofreading) – $120 minimum charge. That’s a fraction of what most consultants charge, but I have fewer overheads to take care of ! An initial consultation / scoping session is at no cost.
your premises or mine?
If meeting for 3 hours or more, and in-person is your preference or it’s deemed important, I can come to you (Melbourne metro). Café or shared workspace locations sometimes work too. IT support can often be done using remote access.
what remote communication do you use?
Whether it’s Zoom, Teams or Skype, I can facilitate any method of communication. And then of course there’s email, and collaboration tools such as Office 365 and Google Docs. All are possible.
what about confidentiality and privacy?
I guarantee complete confidentiality, and suggest that I sign a confidentiality/non-disclosure agreement with you (I can provide a template) if you feel it necessary.
what payment methods are available?
You can pay via EFT or by credit card (Visa/Mastercard/American Express). Or even PayPal. All charges have a GST component, so a tax invoice is provided using Xero accounting.
